Stumped for Gift Ideas? Here’s How to Give the Gift of Alaska

What makes a great gift?

Is a great gift unique? Is it meaningful and heartfelt? Is it exchangeable? Or is a truly great gift all those things?

We know of a gift that’s all those things: Alaska. Or rather … a well thought out, perfectly planned trip to Alaska.

Here’s how you do it.

1. Check our website for trip ideas [2]. All our packages are fully customizable. That means you can change the hotels, tours, and modes of transportation to fit your schedule, lifestyle, and budget. Once you have an idea, submit a call to our office in Anchorage to start planning your gift. You’ll reach one of our reservation agents Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM AKST. Here are some of questions we’ll ask you initially:

Your agent will put together a sample itinerary and quote for you based on this information. We correspond with most of our clients a few times over phone and email to craft the perfect trip.

2a. You have two options now. You can keep your itinerary as a quote and gift it like that. It’ll stay in our system, but because no part of it will be booked, it is subject to change based on availability. It’s a bit like giving the idea of a trip and a better choice if you’re not sure about details like trip dates or number of travelers.

2b. Your second option is to confirm the itinerary. This only requires a 30% deposit. Once it’s done your gift trip will be fully reserved. But here’s the best part: You can still change or cancel the trip up until 45 days prior to departure without fee or penalty. Your gift recipient will have total flexibility to add tours, switch lodging, or even tweak transportation.

So, there it is, the perfect gift of glaciers, grand landscapes, mountains, fjords, adventure, and wonder. Sights that will enthrall them. Experiences that will change them. Memories that will stay with them forever.
