Our choice to stay at the Windsong Lodge in Seward proved to be another good decision. The rooms were very clean and comfortable and convienent to town. We stayed in a deluxe(newer) room and with four adults it was plenty of room. The Roadhouse restaurant was a pleasant surprise as well. The breakfast buffet is a must before heading out for a long day! The bar is something to behold featuring sixteen beers on tap if I remember correctly! Most in Alaska I think. As a whole all the food in Alaska was great! Nice trip to Exit glacier just down the road.

Last summer we took a Princess Cruise (2 Couples newly retired) we flew into Anchorage 3 days early and went to Kenai Peninsula. Later we went to Denali, but if I had one choice it would be Kenai. We did the 6-8 hr cruise of Resurrection Bay sponsored by the National Park Rangers. Spent the night in Cooper Landing at the Alaskan Sourdough B&B drove thru the towns and and saw many wonderful scenes, Cook Inlet, volcanoes, salmon running. Spent the second night at LAnd's End motel on Homer Spit. Eagles galore. Went back to Cooper Landing for the next night and then back to Anchorage to catch our cruise group. I would have liked to have done a white water raft trip on the Kenai River. But I'll get that next year when we are driving our RV up and can take our time.

We are a family of six ( 2 21 year olds, a 17 year old and a 15 year old) going to Alaska on a Princess cruise. We are flying into anchorage and have three nights before the cruise leaves -- trying to decide whether to go north to Denali or South to Kenai Peninsula? Any suggestions?
